The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at a bar located in the 600 block of Lake Avenue, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) is actively investigating the case. One of the deceased has been identified as Chris Allen, while the identities of the other victims have yet to be disclosed. According to PBSO, the shooting involved four men, with two pronounced dead at the scene and the other two transported to a local hospital. One of the surviving victims remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, while the other is reportedly in stable condition.
Crime scene tape now surrounds the Rock Irish Pub as investigators work to piece together the events leading up to the shooting. A witness, who spoke to local reporters, recounted the tragic events, describing the group of men who were shot as her coworkers from the Old Key Lime House, a popular local restaurant. She explained that they had been attending a Christmas party at Lilo’s Streetfood and Bar earlier in the evening before crossing the street to the Rock Irish Pub to play pool. The witness shared, “I stepped outside briefly. When I came back, I saw PBSO arriving, and then I saw two of my coworkers dead on the floor. One was in really bad shape, and another was already in an ambulance.”
As of now, PBSO has not provided details about a potential suspect or motive. Detectives are actively canvassing the area and reviewing surveillance footage from the bar and surrounding businesses.
