ROCHESTER, NY — The Rochester Police Department has confirmed that the victim in the fatal shooting on Rau Street on November 26 was 20-year-old Amir Clark, a resident of Greece, New York. Officers were dispatched to the scene around 4 p.m. after receiving reports of an individual lying on the street near Helen Barrett Montgomery School No. 50 at 301 Seneca Avenue. Upon arrival, authorities found Clark with at least one gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of nearby residents and emergency responders, Clark was pronounced dead at the scene. His death adds to the growing concerns about gun violence in Rochester this year.
