Kosovar Albanian couple found dead in Hallandale Beach condo in apparent murder-suicide

FORT LAUDERDALE — Authorities have revealed the identities of a man and woman who were found dead in a Hallandale Beach luxury condominium earlier this week. On Friday, the Hallandale Beach Police announced that the victims were 34-year-old Pajtim Kasniqi and 27-year-old Sabrina Kasniqi, a Kosovar Albanian couple. The identification was confirmed through reports from Gazeta Tema, an Albanian newspaper.

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday when Hallandale Beach Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert that reported multiple gunshots near 1800 S. Ocean Dr. Upon arriving at the scene, located at 1830 S. Ocean Dr., officers discovered the bodies of Pajtim and Sabrina Kasniqi in one of the high-rise condominium units. The building is part of a complex consisting of three high-rise structures.

A 911 call had been made, reporting the sound of multiple gunshots and indicating that two individuals were down on the balcony. Initial investigations revealed that the shooting took place on one of the upper floors of the condominium. Overhead footage from Chopper4 showed investigators moving in and out of the crime scene as they carried out their investigation.

Through their ongoing investigation, Hallandale Beach Police determined that Sabrina Kasniqi had fatally shot her husband, Pajtim, multiple times before taking her own life. The condominium where their bodies were found was their shared residence. However, the police have not yet disclosed the motives or circumstances that led to the apparent murder-suicide.

The news of this tragic event has deeply affected the family of the deceased. Albana Krasniqi Munrett, Pajtim's older sister, expressed her devastation on social media, stating that the family had been heartbroken throughout Thanksgiving week due to the incident. In a Facebook post accompanied by a photo of her brother, she wrote about the betrayal they felt from Sabrina, who had been trusted and loved by Pajtim. Albana shared the pain of losing her brother and the impact it had on their mother, who she feared might never recover from the shock.

The Hallandale Beach Police Department has extended its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones impacted by this heartbreaking incident. The agency acknowledged the profound loss and assured that they would continue to investigate the case thoroughly to provide some closure to those affected by the tragedy.

As the investigation continues, the Hallandale Beach community mourns the loss of Pajtim and Sabrina Kasniqi, reflecting on the sudden and violent end to their lives. The police department remains committed to uncovering the details of the case and supporting the grieving family through this difficult time. The incident serves as a somber reminder of the complexities and potential dangers that can lie behind closed doors, urging communities to remain vigilant and supportive of one another.
