On Sunday, Nov. 24, Henrico County Police and Fire Divisions responded to a devastating accident at a railroad crossing on Hungary Road near Oakview Avenue, where a cyclist was tragically struck and killed by a train. The victim, identified as 59-year-old Marcell Eugene Morse of Richmond, suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel around 3:30 p.m. Initial investigations indicate that Morse was attempting to cross the train tracks on his bicycle as the crossing arms were activated, signaling an approaching train.
