Two Men Killed in Lugoff Apartment Complex Shooting, Suspects at Large



 LUGOFF, S.C. — The Kershaw County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the tragic deaths of 40-year-old Kevin Sutton and 22-year-old Tasheed Sutton, who were fatally shot on Monday afternoon at the Lexington Grand Apartments in Lugoff. Coroner David West verified their identities but did not disclose their relationship, leaving the community in deep sorrow and confusion.


The shooting unfolded around 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the apartment complex on Roy Truesdale Road. Authorities believe Kevin and Tasheed had just exited a vehicle when an altercation erupted with individuals inside the car. During the confrontation, gunfire ensued, leading to the deaths of both men. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, Kevin and Tasheed were pronounced dead at the scene.
