Pedestrian Fatality on Baker Road in Martinsburg Under Investigation by West Virginia State Police

He was walking along the right shoulder of Baker Road when he was struck by a 2016 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 53-year-old Jaime Bayliss, also from Martinsburg. Emergency medical personnel responded quickly, rushing Rivera to Berkeley Medical Center for treatment. Tragically, despite the efforts to save his life, Rivera succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
