28-Year-Old Passenger Fatally Shot in Garfield Park, Investigation Underway



 Chicago police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man in the Garfield Park neighborhood on the city’s West Side. The incident occurred around 5:16 p.m. on Friday in the 3800 block of West Adams Street. The victim, identified as Cordero, was a passenger in a vehicle when he was struck by gunfire. He sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.


Authorities have not yet apprehended any suspects, and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are working diligently to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are following all available leads. The police have not released further details at this time.
