Harris County Mother of Two Fatally Stabbed in Apparent Domestic Dispute; Husband Detained

In a tragic turn of events early Friday morning, 43-year-old Adelene Wilson was found fatally stabbed in her residence in northwest Harris County. Deputies from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office were called to a home on Kleinmeadow Drive, near Bammel North Houston Road, at approximately 6 a.m., where they discovered Wilson with multiple stab wounds. The incident, which appears to be the latest in a series of reported disturbances at the address, has prompted a deeper investigation as authorities seek answers surrounding her death.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Wilson was stabbed in front of two children, ages 11 and 8, who are believed to be her own. An adult woman, whose relationship to Wilson has not been disclosed, was also present during the attack. Emergency responders provided immediate care, and the children and the adult witness were taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure. They were later released, but the traumatic impact of the event on the young witnesses has raised concerns among neighbors and law enforcement officials.

Notably absent at the scene was Wilson’s husband, Charles Murray Wilson, who, according to preliminary information from investigators, may have left the residence shortly before the stabbing occurred. Law enforcement officials later located him in Wilson’s vehicle at a gas station on Spring Cypress Drive near TC Jester Boulevard, only a short distance from the crime scene. Charles Wilson was detained without incident and transported to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, where he is currently being questioned in connection to his wife’s death.

Investigators have been cautious in releasing further details about the incident, indicating that they were awaiting a search warrant to conduct a thorough examination of the home and gather potential evidence. Although no official charges have been filed, the case has been handed over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, which will determine if and what charges should be pursued.

Reports indicate that this was not the first time deputies were called to the Wilson residence. While the specific nature of prior calls remains undisclosed, records suggest a history of disturbances, hinting at a possibly tumultuous environment leading up to the incident. The sheriff’s office has confirmed the existence of these previous calls, although they have not clarified if they were related to domestic violence or other conflicts within the home.

On the morning of the incident, Adelene Wilson reportedly alerted authorities that her husband had taken her car at approximately 5:30 a.m., just a half-hour before deputies were summoned to the residence. Investigators are analyzing this timeline as part of their investigation, attempting to reconstruct the sequence of events that culminated in her tragic death.

Despite efforts to establish a motive, authorities have not yet determined what might have driven this fatal encounter. Detectives are interviewing the children and the adult witness to piece together any details they may provide, which could shed light on the nature of the confrontation between Wilson and her husband. Neighbors, meanwhile, have expressed shock and dismay at the incident, describing the family as generally reserved but noting occasional disturbances that led to law enforcement responses.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has acknowledged the profound emotional toll this incident may have on the young witnesses, highlighting the support services being made available to them and the adult witness to aid in processing the trauma. Mental health professionals will likely play a role in supporting the children as they navigate the aftermath of this tragedy, a measure law enforcement says is crucial for their well-being.

As the investigation unfolds, residents in the typically quiet neighborhood are grappling with the unsettling reality of violence so close to home. The sheriff’s office is expected to release additional information as detectives work to clarify the circumstances of Wilson’s death and determine if there are any underlying factors or histories that may have contributed to this violent act.

For now, the Harris County community remains on edge, hoping for answers in the face of this devastating event.
